It can be a ship passing in the night
or one forever anchored
It can be kept in your mind
Carried in your heart
or worn on your sleeve
Sometimes it is cautious and gently wends
its way into your heart
but sometimes it is bold and steals your heart away
Sometimes it is as fleeting as the will o the wisp
but sometimes as enduring as a lifetime
Love is the beating of the heart
and the pulse of life itself.
