Gaia

Witches in the moon light
arms out stretched hair flying ‘bout
herbs and incense fill the misty night
mumbled words and phrases
hands and fingers weave through the air
in complicated mazes
midnight nears with moon in mid flight
earth mother grant us favor
we help the land that others might savor
the beauty of the world where we’ve done our work
and with your help our duties we won’t shirk
with hands raised up to sky
we bless the goddess for her bounty
trying to not cry
life is sometimes so hard, why?
when the answer is harder you have to try
you don’t have to be rich
just comfortable and happy to be a witch
